Talks for Google Developers Group Kraków

Two new slide decks appeared in lectures tab. This time with videos, unfortunately in Polish only. I started working on English subtitles and now I understand how hard it is to create subs for TV series :)

First one from Google I/O Extended event in Krakow, about Google Closure ecosystem. It was just before I actually joined Google and now I wouldn’t dare to say I know Closure Library well. There are many hidden gems inside and it’s a very complete and highly optimized environment. If you are willing to drop jQuery like I did, consider giving Google Closure a shot. You will go trough withdrawal for some time, as it is not as simple and there are very few gallery/flying snowflakes/glowing effects available. But after some time you will learn to appreciate how well designed the whole library is and how easy it is to build extensible, clean solutions using it.

Second one is more recent, from GDG Devfest in Poznan. I was recently interested in hidden classes and others internals of V8 engine. Information on this topic is very scarce and I tried to summarize all I gathered. List of links on last slide is probably the most valuable thing to find there.

So, that’s it, enjoy. As usual feel free to ask questions, I’ll do my best to answer.
